Frequently asked questions

q: I have a specific garment I would like made, would you make a replica?

a: Paris Jo does not recreate exact designs/garments from known or unknown brands/designers. Keep in mind, as a designer and not solely a seamstress, I design based on the Paris Jo brand and aesthetic, with your personal style and frame in mind. Clean feminine lines, classic silhouettes, and chic romantic elegance is at the core of each Paris Jo design. We will use the Paris Jo “Find Your Style” process where you are able to go through a selection of styles, colors, and silhouettes so we know what works best for you. Let’s consult and create a brand new look, thats the joy of having a custom designer!

q: What is the average price of a custom design?

a: Custom formal designs start at $1500 and price increases depending on design, fabric content, details of garment construction, etc. Bridal gowns start at $5000. Bridal gown prices can increase significantly based on clients desire for more drama; fuller skirts, heavy beading and hand work. Set up a consultation with me today and we can go over budgets and all details.

q: Is the consultation fee apart of the total payment?

a: No. The fee is for the consultation time alone. There we will discuss all the details concerning design, budget, silhouettes, inspiration, go over sketches and make sure Paris Jo is the direction you want to go.

q: Can I change my mind on my design?

a: Once we confirm design after consulting phase and contract is signed, design can not change. Minor alterations are accepted, adding sleeves/bead work, but prices will reflect!

q: Do you alter non Paris Jo garments?

a: No, I do not perform alterations on garments that are not mine.

q: Is my design refundable if I don’t like it or date is cancelled?

a: The design is not refundable. The consulting phase allows us to agree on design so you can make sure you love it. There are a lot of fittings as well as shared images to keep you updated on design.
